Our skills and speed...
In just over a year DataCan has managed to release a catalog of state-of-the-art products that have given new meaning to reliability. By releasing our first commercial product within months of starting our business we were able to truly showcase our design skills and speed.From scratch our piezo memory pressure recorder was commercialized in 4 months. It is surprising when you consider the scope of the project. We obviously had to design and procure a circuit board and mechanical package, but people over look the details and infrastructure that come with a finished commercial product. In the four month window, we also had to create a calibration system from scratch, gauge software, a download cable, battery packs, a user manual, and marketing information. Thankfully, before the project started we had already implemented our enterprise resource planning (ERP) software which enables us to create and track parts and assemblies. Our ERP software is the foundation of our quality and production system.
Our quartz memory pressure recorder was commercialized 2 months later, followed by our battery tester and finally our patent pending down hole shut in tool. Along the way we continued to build our permanent monitoring hardware and develop our hybrid platform.
